Species: Blood Cat(s)

Name - Blood Cat(s)

Size - 14-17 feet high at the shoulder, with females notably smaller than males.

Physical Description - Simply put, they're very large felines. Blood Cats are built thinly, with lean muscles and a vividly-hued pelt and baleful gold eyes. Their whiskers are black, as are their huge, retractable claws. Their fangs are almost long enough to be called saberteeth, visible even when their powerful jaws are shut. Blood Cats, despite their size, often reside in the trees.

Coloration - Vibrant fiery color, which ranges from gold-orange all the way to blood red, is streaked with stripes that can be black, dark grey, or dark red. Rare 'Cats may have golden stripes. Eyes are yellow.

Temperament - Fierce warriors and not too social, these cats have an undeserved bad reputation. Despite rumor, they're generally unhostile unless provoked and chivalrous in most situations; they can be greedy and ruthless, but that's not typical. Blood Cats are one of the Original Nine, sharing racial age with Night Cats and Heifias.

Name - Infernio(s)

Original - Truth Seeker, a black-striped scarlet female. It is generally believed that she died soon after her Creation, but no proof has ever been presented.

Temperament - Fierce warriors and not too social, these cats have an undeserved bad reputation. Despite rumor, they're generally unhostile unless provoked and chivalrous in most situations; they can be greedy and ruthless, but that's not typical. Infernios are warriors through-and-through and, possibly because of the lack of recognition given for how their race helped in the Dark Wars, many are resentful towards other races.

Culture - Infernios are strict loners and only congregate in fairly large groups during the fall; males court the females before mating, and a litter of three to six cubs are born in the spring. The group of Infernios stay together for the year and a half until all cubs are grown and then disband. Unlike most Lavanians, an Infernio will only mate three or four times during its long (120+ year) lifespan, which may be the cause of the current low population.

Habitat - While Infernios can survive in tropical as well as temperate climes, they prefer warm areas with all four seasons, as the seasons are required to trigger their urge to mate. Infernios are also water-loving cats and are rarely found farther than a few miles from a large river or marsh.

Height at Shoulder - 14-17 feet; females tend to be smaller than males

Physical Description - Infernios are very large but gaunt felines; lean-muscled, low-slung and thin, they often reside in trees despite their size. Oversized, unretractable black claws curve from broad, shockingly powerful paws, and a long tail is surprisingly heavy for balance. Infernio fangs are long, visible when their jaws are closed, but not quite long enough to be called saberteeth; their fur is sleek and short, usually well-groomed but occasionally scruffy.

Coloration - Infernio fur is a vibrant fiery color which can range from gold-orange all the way to blood red, streaked with stripes that can be black, dark grey, or dark red. Rare Infernios may have golden stripes. Eyes are always yellow, and claws are always black.
